Hello Indivisibles,
If you’re finding yourself questioning reality lately, you’re not alone. We have collectively witnessed SignalGate, the greatest national security breach of our lifetime. And worse, we’ve caught this administration in their lies. Outrage is growing, and we hope that our democratic officials in power will not back down from holding these incompetent (at best) fools accountable. We are also closely watching the arrest of a Tufts student by ICE, the signing of an illegal EO that requires proof of citizenship, and speaker Mike Johnson calling for federal courts to be abolished…it’s a lot to take in. But it’s in their playbook. Lean on your network, keep up the efforts and don’t back down!

IMCPANF To-Do List:
We must stay focused on taking back the House in the special elections! The Republicans will soon only have 217 House members to the Democrats’ 215. That means if Democrats win all three special elections, this year, they will have a House majority and the ability to thwart much of Trump’s agenda. TO DO:
Research Gay Valimont of Florida. Phone bank for Gay. Donate to Gay.
Research Joshua Weil of Florida. Phone bank for Joshua. Donate to Joshua.
Research Blake Gendebien of New York. Phone bank for Blake. Donate to Blake.
All hands must be on deck to STOP THE SAVE ACT which will disenfranchise millions of people. The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act would require all American citizens registering to vote or updating their registration information to present documentary proof of citizenship in person. For the vast majority of Americans, this would be a passport or birth certificate. Not the Real ID.
End online and mail-in voter registration.
Government-issued driver’s licenses—including REAL IDs—as well as military or tribal IDs do not satisfy the bill’s requirements.
The legislation would invert the responsibility to verify a person’s eligibility and citizenship status from election officials and the government onto every single American citizen, making citizens convince the government that they’re eligible to exercise their right to vote.
The SAVE Act would change the way all citizens register to vote upon enactment. It would upend online voter registration, make it impossible to mail in a registration application, and eliminate voter registration drives.
Send a letter to TELL CONGRESS TO STOP THE SAVE ACT:
Phone banking, we must get the word out about what the SAVE Act is really about so join in and make some calls. I know it’s uncomfortable, but it must be done.
Why you should phonebank:
Supportive: We provide everything you need—training, scripts, and support.
Powerful: Congress reports being flooded with calls—let's keep up the pressure.
Engagement: These complex issues require personal connection with other Americans.
Community: You're not alone. Our national network of volunteers are all working together on common goals.
Research and support the PA HB 200 Family Care Act! It establishes a paid family medical leave act that allows:
parents to provide care for elderly or disabled loved ones
parents to be there for their children following birth, adoption, or foster placement
parents to care for a seriously ill/injured child
individuals to tend to family matters related to military deployment
victims of violence to take time off when fleeing abuse without fear of losing jobs/livelihood
people with disabilities to maintain financial independence/escape caregiver abuse without losing their jobs/livelihood
The bill has bipartisan support and passed out of L&I committee on 3/18/25.
PA is falling short of its neighbors New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware who have already passed paid leave legislation. It is NOT a tax. The contribution (split 50/50 by employee and employer) does not exceed 1% of income. Also, small businesses with less than 15 employees are exempt, but employees still pay in and are eligible to receive benefits.Folks can see if their reps have already signed onto the bill here; if so, please call and thank them! If not, call and ask why and offer the above points, or speak to the impact this legislation could have had (or could in the future!) on their lives.
Indivisible National Calls to Action To-Do List:
Find or register an event for our April 5 mass mobilization. Donald Trump and Elon Musk think this country belongs to them. They're taking everything they can get their hands on, and daring the world to stop them. On April 5, we're taking to the streets nationwide to fight back with a clear message: Hands off! Click the link above to find or plan an event near you.
Join a phonebank to get out the vote in Wisconsin. With just one week to go until Election Day, we need all hands on deck to stop Elon Musk from buying a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Sign up for one of our six upcoming phonebanks to help boost turnout and keep our liberal majority on the state supreme court.
Call your Democratic senator(s) and tell them Schumer must step down. With Trump and Musk actively working to dismantle our democracy, we need Democratic leaders who recognize the crisis we’re in and are willing to fight back as hard as we are. Through his words and inaction, Chuck Schumer has told us that he is not that leader. If you have a Democratic senator, call and tell them Schumer must step down.
Process the news with Indivisible co-founders Ezra Levin and Leah Greenberg this Thursday at 3pm ET/12pm PT. Every Thursday at 3pm, we take a step back to absorb the news of the past week, draw inspiration from the work Indivisibles and allies are doing all across the country, and talk about how we fight back.
