Hello Indivisibles,

While the onslaught of tomfoolery continues to occur, our members are standing strong and uniting to take a stand for the American people. This week, we saw tariffs, more cockamamie Musk chaos, inept (at best) foreign policy, and threats on our constitutional rights. Indivisible will not back down to this egregious attack on our democracy! Read on to see how our efforts are making an impact.

📌Overall Update📌

  • Congresswoman Madeleine Dean welcomed IMCPANF’s very own, Peg Eitl, a tireless healthcare advocate, as her guest to President Trump’s Joint Address to Congress on March 4, 2025. Peg Eitl’s advocacy began when her oldest child, Joe, was born with Down Syndrome and a complex congenital heart defect. In 2020, Joe Eitl became the first person with Down Syndrome to receive a combined heart and liver transplant — a lifesaving surgery made possible by Medicare and his family’s unwavering commitment to his care. We’d like to thank our member, Peg, for making this trip and representing the many families out there that rely on Medicaid to survive.

    • According to Peg: “It was an honor to represent my community and the many families of disabled individuals who rely on Medicare & Medicaid, but it was painful to watch the POTUS pander to his base by repeating his many absurd lies and hyperbole.  He ignored all the things important to Americans and made it another ‘I am the greatest’ charade.”

    • Check out Madeleine Dean’s Instagram for a press release with more information.

  • Members from Indivisible’s Havertown-Area Community Action Network (H-CAN) had the opportunity to hand-deliver 400 personalized letters to Dave McCormick’s junior staffer early this week. Thank you to all who participated! This initiative focused on members’ heartfelt stories of how Medicaid makes an impact in their daily lives. While Senator McCormick vows to hold a virtual town hall in the future (...), this effort was well-received personally by his staff. Let’s keep the pressure on!

  • On Tuesday evening, our members joined a rally in Glenside to protest Co-President Musk’s efforts to dismantle the regulatory agencies keeping our communities safe. This event drew local crowds who are still reeling from the massive SPS fire. Kudos to all who attended (over 200) for making sure our voices are heard– we cannot stand for dangerous conditions under a Musk regime.

  • On March 2nd, our Indivisible friends in Westchester held a rally for Ukraine (see photo attached), drawing a large crowd to show support for our friends who are rightfully defending their country. We know that the treatment of President Zelensky by the buffoons in the oval office was nothing short of an embarrassing and disgraceful set-up, and we will not stand for it!

  • If you are a new member, please take some time to get acquainted with our website– it has recently been revamped to include a page for new members and our calls to action.

  • For March’s meeting, we will be hosting a food drive benefiting Martha’s Choice in Norristown. Prepare any donations of nonperishable items and bring them with you to our Sunday, 3/9 meeting.  Read more here!

  • Stay connected and active. As we transition away from Facebook, we have introduced multiple ways to collaborate:

    • Join our Signal group: Email imcpanf@gmail.com with “Signal” in the subject line.

    • Website focus groups: Check our homepage for directions on how to join. This is where the active collaboration, brainstorming, and action-planning begins.

    • Check out Resistbot and use it daily.

    • Check out 5 Calls and use it daily.

📌Events📌

  • TONIGHT, 3/6/2025:  Rep. Madeleine Dean's Virtual Town Hall. The Virtual Town Hall will be held on Thursday, March 6, 7:00 -8:00 p.m. Tune in by visiting dean.house.gov/live. Click here to submit a question ahead of the event.

  • SATURDAY, 3/8/2025: 8-11am in Newtown. Non-violent Peacekeeper Training: With so many planned protests in the works, we want to be as prepared as possible if confronted by counter protesters. Conflict can escalate to violence quickly, so join us to learn some strategies to keep everyone safe. The Indivisible Bucks County Leadership Team encourages anyone who plans on attending protests to take advantage of this free and valuable training.

  • SATURDAY, 3/8/2025: 2-4pm, Norristown. International Women’s Day Unite and Resist Rally at the Montgomery County Courthouse. This is a powerful opportunity to stand together in solidarity as women face relentless attacks by this administration. With our rights under siege—from aggressive assaults on abortion rights to attacks on our voting rights with the SAVE Act to a broader erosion of protections that impact every woman—we must unite to resist and demand change.

  • SUNDAY, 3/9/2025:Exciting opportunity for Indivisible Montgomery County, PA & Friends to meet and hear from State Senator, Katie Muth! Katie will be joining our next in-person meeting on Sunday, 3/9 to share some updates and take questions from us. RSVP here! UPDATE: Our in-person option is at capacity; we apologize for the inconvenience, but as we grow and raise funds, we are committed to utilizing a new space that will accommodate us all. If you no longer plan to attend, please update your RSVP.

  • SATURDAY, 3/22/2025: Musk or Us Peaceful Protest at Tesla Warminster. We will once again be rallying at Tesla in Warminster to stop DOGE. The world’s richest man isn’t just enabling Trump—he’s an unelected billionaire seizing control of government power for his own gain. This isn’t just about MAGA lawlessness—it’s about billionaire-driven authoritarianism, corporate overreach, and systemic corruption. To fight back, we have to meet Musk where he operates—across the country at Tesla showrooms, factories, and dealerships. A Tesla protest is a powerful way to expose his deep ties to the Trump coup and demand accountability.

 IMCPANF To-Do List:

  • We must stay focused on taking back the House in the special elections! The Republicans will soon only have 217 House members to the Democrats’ 215. That means if Democrats win all three special elections, this year, they will have a House majority and the ability to thwart much of Trump’s agenda. TO DO: research and support: Gay Valimont of Florida, Joshua Weil of Florida, and Blake Gendebien of New York.

  • All hands must be on deck to STOP THE SAVE ACT which will disenfranchise millions of people.

    • The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act would require all American citizens registering to vote or updating their registration information to present documentary proof of citizenship in person. For the vast majority of Americans, this would be a passport or birth certificate. Not the Real ID.

    • End online and mail-in voter registration.

    • Government-issued driver’s licenses—including REAL IDs—as well as military or tribal IDs do not satisfy the bill’s requirements.

    • The legislation would invert the responsibility to verify a person’s eligibility and citizenship status from election officials and the government onto every single American citizen, making citizens convince the government that they’re eligible to exercise their right to vote.

    • The SAVE Act would change the way all citizens register to vote upon enactment. It would upend online voter registration, make it impossible to mail in a registration application, and eliminate voter registration drives.

What can we do:

Why you should phonebank:

  • Supportive: We provide everything you need—training, scripts, and support.

  • Powerful: Congress reports being flooded with calls—let's keep up the pressure.

  • Engagement: These complex issues require personal connection with other Americans.

  • Community: You're not alone. Our national network of volunteers are all working together on common goals.

Indivisible National Calls to Action To-Do List:

  • CALL NOW: Tell your Republican Senator You Don’t Want To Pay The Price For Their Billionaire Tax Breaks

    • Senate Republicans are trying to ram through the Trump Tax Scam, their tax plan that sells out everyday Americans to help billionaires like Elon Musk get even richer. They’re using budget reconciliation—a wonky process that would allow them to pass legislation with only Republican votes—to ram through their top priorities: giving the ultra-wealthy trillions of dollars in tax breaks and expecting the rest of us to foot the bill.

  • Make them own the coup.

    • Trump and Musk are trying to bulldoze every check on their power, but Congress still has the ability to fight back—if we make them. House Democrats need to go all-in to use their leverage and every procedural tool that's available to fight back, and Republicans need to feel the heat for enabling the Trump-Musk coup and cutting working people’s health care and food assistance to give massive tax breaks to billionaires.

    • If You Have a Republican Member of Congress: Make Them Own the Coup. House Republicans aren’t just complicit in the Trump-Musk coup—they are actively fueling it. Instead of protecting everyday Americans, they’re ramming through an extremist spending bill, gutting critical programs, and shoveling billions in tax breaks to Trump’s billionaire cronies.

    • Make them answer for their betrayal. Call them out in public, at town halls, in their district offices, and on their phone lines. Demand to know: Why are they slashing Medicaid and SNAP for working families just to hand massive tax cuts to billionaires? No hiding. No spin.

    • Show up, online and in person. Drag their complicity into the light—blast them on social media, flood local news with letters and op-eds, take action in their districts. Let them know that we are watching.

  • Check out Indivisible’s Musk or Us March Recess Toolkit

    • Members of the House of Representatives AND the Senate will be back on your home turf beginning Saturday, March 15 through Sunday, March 23. Here is everything you need to know about why recess matters, our demands, and the top actions we’re recommending to get their attention. If you’re ready to join the fight, sign up for updates and ways to take action against the Trump-Musk coup and the Republican tax scam.
